oUr Bright Beginning

Once upon an October day in 1990-something, a super cool grandma was helping her grandson make candles for a scouting project. She grabbed essential oils, melted some wax in a double boiler, and queued up her record collection on the turntable. The two spent the day making candles, laughing and dancing around the kitchen, having so much fun that candle-making became a regular occurrence.

The grandson went off to college and continued to make candles to feel at home even when he could not be physically near family.

Then what started as a passion project in grandma’s kitchen became Pearl Candle Company LLC in 2019, named for that super cool grandma, Pearl. Today we make all of our candles like grandma used to, as simple and natural as we can while pouring so much joy into each one, you feel like your being hugged by the warm scents.
